Special Features: The Rogue River is a national treasure offering exciting rapids, warm clear water, excellent fishing and abundant wildlife. Close to the southern Oregon coast in the rugged Siskiyou Mountains, warm but mild weather creates comfortable camping and mysterious morning mists high up the forest-shrouded canyon walls. Short hikes lead to crystal clear swimming holes and historic cabins including one owned by the famous western novelist Zane Gray. It's easy to see why the Rogue was one of the first rivers protected by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.
