Trip Description

The McKenzie River is located between Sisters and Eugene. This jewel of an alpine stream tumbles and rushes its way out of the Cascades on its way to the Willamette River. A lushly forested canyon and sparkling clear waters make our McKenzie River Trip perfect to escape to on a hot summer day. Our half day trips are a perfect opportunity to “get your feet wet” for the first time or to get a quick “whitewater fix”. Fast moving and splashy, but relatively easy, the McKenzie River is perfect for beginners, but active enough to keep experienced rafters entertained. Take the time before or after your rafting trip to try trout fishing, take a waterfall hikes or an exploration of the “Lava Lands” on Hwy 242 to round out the perfect day. Both our half and one day trips meet at Paradise Campground (54 miles east of Eugene on HWY 126). While lunch is not provided on the half-day trip, we are happy to provide complimentary snacks and beverages during your transportation from Bend.
