Cross Costa Rica from the Atlantic coast through rainforests, across bridges, over mountains and, at last, to the glorious Pacific ocean by foot (approximately 28 days). Along the way you will be picking up valuable knowledge in the areas of Spanish language, natural history, back country skills, and will become certified in CPR & First Aid. The Tri-Country Semester course not only takes you through village homestays, waterfall rappelling and tree climbing, but goes many steps beyond. Learn to kayak (approximately 12 days) and captain a raft (approximately 12 days) on some of the world's most beautiful rivers, complete a service project, and pass a 48-hour solo in the rainforest. And just when you think you've had enough excitement for one year, you find yourself traveling to neighboring Nicaragua (approximately 8 days), receiving expert surfing instruction (approximately 12 days) on pristine beaches, and then head to Panama where you'll sea kayak, sail, and scuba dive (approximately 14 days) in beautiful Bocas del Toro.
