Trip Description

Our one-day Deschutes River trip is perfect for anyone wanting to “get a little wet” on a hot summer day in a spectacular desert river canyon. The rapids along this section are very fun and splashy, and there’s plenty of opportunity to get into a water fight or two. Ask your guides about the geology or just sit back and marvel at it. A great day awaits you on the Deschutes River.

Special Features:
Our one-day trip covers 13 of the most popular and exciting miles of the Lower Deschutes River near the town of Maupin. Round trip transportation is included from Bend (1.75 hours each way) and Redmond or we can meet you in Maupin if you’re coming from Portland. The trip runs from Harpham Flat to Sandy Beach and includes Wapanitia, Boxcar, Oaksprings and Elevator rapids. A fresh, healthy and delicious riverside deli lunch is prepared by your guides. If time and conditions allow, we’ll take a short hike to the natural water slides at White River or do a little “body surfing” through the waves at elevator rapid. Photographers at several of the rapids capture our runs and photos can be bought on-line after the trip. Friendly and highly professional guides, a healthy lunch and fun rapids make this a great day-long getaway for families, friends and groups.
